Herbal Medicine

As a Herbalist I treat the whole person with herbal medicines designed to give the body the phytochemicals it needs to work with its own innate wisdom. There is no 'one size fits all' remedy, which is why an initial consultation is required before most formulae are given to a client. When I formulate a remedy I usually use three or four herbs. The first is the tonic herb, which nourishes the body system that needs the most support. The second is the specific, chosen to treat the probable cause. The third is the corollary, used to address secondary symptoms. The fourth is the synergy herb, which ushers the other herbs to where they need to go and can make the formula stronger. Acute illness may only need one bottle, while chronic ongoing issues may require taking herbs for longer.
